VeraD (b. 1945, Prague, Czech Republic) is a contemporary artist whose vibrant and energetic paintings reflect a life lived in motion, exploration, and creative discovery. Now based in Barcelona, she transforms her unique personal journey into visual experiences that aim to uplift, provoke, and inspire.

From an early age, VeraD's life was defined by both art and movement. After relocating to Paris at a young age, she received academic training that nurtured her artistic sensibility. In her youth, she embarked on an extraordinary career as an acrobat, touring the world for twenty years with the renowned "Icarian Games." Her travels across five continents, combined with her love of scuba diving, deeply influenced her approach to color, space, and emotion, infusing her work with a sense of dynamism and vitality.

VeraD's paintings, often described as a "magical potion," combine vivid chromatic intensity with immersive compositions that go beyond mere aesthetics. Her canvases are populated with characters, landscapes, objects, and situations-all filtered through memory, sensation, and imagination. Her art conveys a balance between personal narrative and universal emotion, inviting viewers to experience transformation and wonder.

She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, presenting her work in Barcelona and internationally, and continues to expand her creative reach.

Today, VeraD develops her paintings across her studios in Barcelona, the Costa de Azahar (Valencian Community, Spain), and Moravia, Czech Republic, where she channels her experiences into bold, original works that bridge life and art.
