Paola López-Guerra

Overview
"My artworks are not about being, but becoming.

I connect with emotions that question the meaning of identity, femininity, and movement.

My practice becomes a space of dialogue between exploration and reflection on what is human, in resonance with the poetics of life."

Paola López-Guerra (b. 1974, Bogotá) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Madrid. Biography
"My work explores the expressive possibilities of abstract form.

The line - an essential element in the construction of my visual language - unfolds as an aesthetic necessity, charged with density and driven by contrast, balance, and experimentation.

Its rupture redefines abstract structures, transforming them into almost sculptural configurations that evoke new landscapes and forms."

Paola López-Guerra (b. 1974, Bogotá, Colombia) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Madrid.

Trained as an architect at the Universidad Autónoma de Barranquilla, she also holds a Master's in Interior Design from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and EINA School of Barcelona.

Paola's early career included work in digital communication and as an assistant to art restorers and artists, eventually founding her own studio in Barcelona. In 2013, she relocated to Ibiza, where her work evolved conceptually, focusing on feminine strength and characterized by expressive, gestural lines.

The pandemic led her back to Bogotá in 2020, where she explored her roots and developed an intimate visual diary using local materials.

Now based in Spain, López-Guerra continues her artistic practice while pursuing Art Business studies at the Complutense University of Madrid, Huntress of Art, and Fundación PONS.

Her work fundamentally reflects a dynamic interplay between identity, memory, and material expression.
